Across the world, women play a critical role in the conservation and management of the natural environment. Much has been written about the role of women in the management of natural resources in rural areas of developing countries. But what happens in urban centers? The topic of this third call for photos will explore the role of women in preserving and developing the natural environment in urban areas.

We want to take this opportunity to start a collaboration with the Segovia community in its larger Castilla y Leon context. Since the city of Segovia has a population of about 50,000 inhabitants, the impact of the university community in our city is very large. That is why we want to promote a positive impact hand in hand with the gender equality unit of the UVa Segovia and its Maria Zambrano Campus, joining forces to improve gender equality and opening the contest not only to students from our university but also to students from the Segovia Campus of the University of Valladolid.
