IE Sustainability Week

Last month, IE University students from 140 countries took part in IE Sustainability Week. The protection of the planet, the promotion of projects that promote the circular economy and social volunteering were the focus on IE University campuses through October 29.
IE Sustainability Week began with an initiative organized by the IE Arts & Humanities Division and the Alliance Française de Madrid. IE community members enjoyed a screening of the film Rouge by director Farid Bentoumi followed by a panel to promote debate on sustainability in industry, featuring moderator Caroline Gracia of the Student Sustainability Committee, Alec Miguel Barcenilla van der Maesen, Junior Manager of Impact Teaching & Research at the IE Sustainability Office and Waya Quiviger, Executive Director of the Transatlantic Relations Initiative at IE School of Global and Public Affairs.
As a part of the week´s agenda, the Arts & Humanities Division also hosted a masterclass with Felipe Turell, Founding Partner and CEO of MO de Movimiento, in which Turell spoke about the restaurant´s project which is revolved around conscious consumption.
